Caravel is a type of sailing ship that formed in the middle of the 15th century in Portugal. The so-called Latin triangular sails made it possible to go against the wind, which is convenient for maneuvering and moving along the coast. Sometimes on caravels they were used together with straight sails. Caravels were common in Europe in the second half of the 15th - early 16th centuries. The caravels of Bartolomeu Dias, Vasco da Gama and Columbus opened the way for Europeans to India and America. Later, this time was called the era of great geographical discoveries.
The combination of materials of different nature in the ship model not only enriches the impression of the model, but also makes the assembly more complex. When switching to a new material, you need to adapt to its properties, change the methods of work. This variety makes the assembly even more interesting.
No cutting tools or glue are required to assemble the model. The parts have already been cut out and you just need to take them out of the sheet of cardboard and connect them together.
